SFHC in numbers: 30 years of CMP summed up

As we mark the 30 th anniversary of Community Mortgage Program, we look back on what has been a quite remarkable achievement of Social Housing Finance Corporation’s mortgage financing system. From 1989 to June 2018, SHFC approved a total loan assistance of Php 19.42 billion, benefitting 320,972 informal settler families through CMP and the High Density Housing Program. In Luzon, a total of 239,522 families have been assisted, while the number of beneficiaries in Visayas and Mindanao reached 32,260 and 49,190, respectively.

SFHC assumes active role in DOTr’s North-South Railway Project

Social Housing Finance Corporation is one of the key agencies that is playing a vital role in the second phase of the North-South Commuter Rail Project, which is aimed at improving transportation and logistics services between Metro Manila and Legazpi City in Albay Province. Under the memorandum of agreement signed on December 28, 2017, SHFC President Atty. Arnolfo Ricardo B. Cabling, Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur P. Tugade, Housing and Urban Development Council Chairman Eduardo D. Del Rosario, and Philippine National Railways General Manager Junn B. Magno, an initial amount of Php 3 billion has been  made available to SHFC to implement community-driven projects for about 26,000 families at the Tutuban-Los Baños segment and Calamba-Batangas branchline. ALPAS I HOA residents elated over their ‘blessings’ after housing units turnover

There is no shortage of anecdotes about classic Filipino traits and characteristics. Here’s one: we are known for resiliency in adversity and gratefulness to acts of goodwill we received. This rings true for the occupants of ALPAS I HOA, a community-driven housing project of Social Housing Finance Corporation in Barangay Panaklayan, San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. “Sobrang laki pong blessing sa amin itong bahay na ito. Dahil kami po mismo na nakatira dito, ibang-iba na po ang sitwasyon namin ngayon.
